INSTRUCTIONS OF USE
- First wash the surface so that it is as clean as possible and COMPLETELY dry.
- UltraGlozz® Superpolish is used in two applications – the first application is instead of polish, the second, as a sealant instead of wax.
- When polishing with a machine, it is important to apply UltraGlozz® Superpolish to the sponge on the polishing machine and not to the surface. Applying UltraGlozz® Superpolish to the surface risks it drying, thus resulting in a less polished effect.
- Polish a maximum of HALF m2 at a time. By polishing in sections of half m2 it is so much easier to see how far you have come.
- If using an oscillating machine, e.g. a random orbital sander, the machine must be operated AT MAXIMUM SPEED. A rotating polisher must be operated at approx 1000/1200 rpm. There is no risk of “burning” the surface when operating at max speed with an oscillating machine
- All types of polishing machines can be used.
- Polish backwards and forwards within the half m2, until the surface is completely shiny. When the high gloss appears, wipe off the half m2 with a dry cloth so that you can see that you haven’t missed anything. If it’s as it should be, move to a new half m2 section, until the whole surface has been polished.
- You polish as you would normally sand a surface. Remember to press the machine down onto the surface while the machine is operating and doing the work. Don’t press so hard that the machine stops. You will soon see how hard you need to press.
- It’s better to have too little UltraGlozz® Superpolish on the sponge than too much. With too much UltraGlozz® Superpolish, it is more difficult to see when the surface is shiny, but the result will be the same.
- When the polishing sponge is saturated with dirt etc., from polishing, cut a slice, half a centimetre thick, off the sponge, in the same way as if you were cutting a slice of bread. Use a sharp craft/hobby knife and use the entire blade to cut with, which is much easier.
- When polishing by hand, take a dry cloth and apply UltraGlozz® Superpolish to the cloth. Press firmly down on the surface and use a circular motion. Don’t try to cover an area greater than you can manage – i.e. about the size of a football at a time.
- Instead of using wax, finally take a piece of clean dry sponge. Apply UltraGlozz® to the sponge and apply a layer to the entire surface.
- Allow the layer of UltraGlozz® Superpolish to dry until cloudy, in just the same way as ordinary wax dries. Depending on the air temperature, it should dry in about 10 to 20 minutes.
- When the layer of UltraGlozz® Superpolish is dry, wipe it off with a DRY cloth.
- The UltraGlozz® Superpolish treatment is now complete.
SOME FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
- You can apply several layers. Just repeat application number two. Wait for 24 hours between the application of each new layer. In this way you get an even deeper shine.
- It is also possible to work with UltraGlozz® Superpolish in the sun. Just take smaller areas at a time – this only applies to application number two.
- UltraGlozz® Superpolish contains no silicone, so there are no problems with repairing a surface. But all surfaces to be repaired – e.g. with a gelcoat repair – must be sanded matt first.
- One of the great advantages of UltraGlozz® Superpolish, is that you don’t need more than one product. Thus avoiding residues from various products, e.g. separate polishing/rubbing, waxing etc.
- UltraGlozz® Superpolish contains no abrasives. Therefore, you cannot remove deep scratches in a good surface. Removing scratches does not result in a better surface on a good surface, as in order to remove the scratches it is necessary to remove material, which in principle, there is nothing wrong with.
- UltraGlozz® Superpolish removes the faded surface by means of a chemical reaction when rubbed onto the surface, thus dissolving the faded surface.
- UltraGlozz® Superpolish can be used on all SHINY surfaces, such as lacquered surfaces, gelcoat, plastic, chrome, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper etc. Regardless of the surface to be polished, products must be used in two applications as described above.
- Should UltraGlozz® Superpolish come into contact with matt surfaces, this could result in the appearance of white stripes. The stripes can be removed by rubbing the surface with the white UltraGlozz® CleanIt sponge moistened with a little water.
